Who moved the bloody cheese - again!

Totally off Topic

I recently read a book called "Who moved my cheese".  This is about how life does not always steer us in the direction we planned and how we need to adapt to the situation.  The "Cheese: is a metaphor for what ever you are wanting in life, a job, a home, anything.

Recently, like many others we had our cheese well and truly moved.  It took a while to grasp the situation and re-plan how we were going to get by without it & to find more cheese to take its place.  Since then some things have almost miraculously fallen into place.  We once again had a clear focus and a plan to get there.

We breathed a sigh of relief tightened our belts and prepared for the big move forward.  A new job will be taking my husband away regularly, but we will manage.  We are relocating so that we have more friends & family around.  Much better when you have an absent husband.  We are still a little uncertain about exactly where we will be as we need to consider timing, we have a son with an education to consider, also he has to be near a good tennis academy.  So before we had a chance to finalize the final points, some one moved the bloody cheese - again.

Last night our sons tennis coach informed us that he was putting him forward for a tennis assessment in Serbia.  The assessment will take 1 month and its a once in a lifetime opportunity.  There will be scouts from the US as well as world class coaches.  He has selected a few children from this country.  If he is spotted it will mean that he will be sponsored from here on.  The issue is that our son is only 9.  Normally they only take children of 12 and above.

So now we must wait to see if he gets accepted, if that happens we have to find the funds to pay for that and my traveling expenses too.   I desperately want it for him as he is so passionate about tennis.  If he gets in we have to measure up and not let him down.

Our options just now are Kickstart.com and a letter to Oprah - seriously!  I prey that he gets this opportunity and we will adapt accordingly.

After this please I'd like some consistency.  Stop moving my cheese!
